Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Dopplersky, operated by Stony Softworks (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using Dopplersky, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Description of the service

Dopplersky is an analytics service for Bluesky. Using public information from Bluesky and the AT Protocol, it provides profile analytics and history, post replay, opt-in audience intelligence, and side-by-side account comparison. Dopplersky offers a free tier and a paid Premium tier, billed at $20 per month, with a 7-day free trial that requires no payment card. The trial includes audience intelligence, so starting it also switches that collection on; you can turn it off at any time. Premium is charged through Polar, our merchant of record. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, which ends the subscription at the close of the period you have already paid for.

2. Acceptance of terms

By using Dopplersky, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and us.

3. Use of the service

a. Public data and tracking

Dopplersky analyses publicly available Bluesky data. You may look up and track any public Bluesky account; doing so enrols that account for ongoing collection, and its public metrics may be displayed on public pages (including its profile page). Features that reveal more than public metrics (such as audience intelligence) are limited to the account owner and require you to be signed in as that account.

b. Prohibited use

  • You may not use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.
  • You may not scrape or harvest data from the service with automated tools.
  • You may not impersonate others or provide false information.
  • You may not interfere with or disrupt the service or its servers.
  • You may not use the service to violate any applicable law or regulation.

4. Accounts, authentication, and subscriptions

You may sign in with Bluesky using AT Protocol OAuth. You are responsible for activity under your account. Premium features are offered on a subscription basis at $20 per month; the 7-day trial requires no card, the price and terms are presented before any charge, and cancellation is available at any time from the billing portal. You may also give us an email address so we can tell you when a trial is ending or has ended. That address is used only for messages about your own account, and removing it stops them.

5. Licence to use public data

You retain ownership of your content on Bluesky. You grant us a licence to use the public information associated with tracked accounts to provide the service, including analysing it in aggregate and de-identified form to build and improve the analytics the service offers. Aggregate and de-identified insights derived from this data are owned by us.

6. Intellectual property

  • The content, features, and functionality of Dopplersky are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the service without our written permission.

7. Service availability and changes

  • We aim for reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
  • We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

8. Third-party services

The service integrates with Bluesky and the AT Protocol and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of services we do not operate.

9. Disclaimers

Dopplersky is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any analytics. Nothing in the service is a guarantee or promise of results, and it is not professional advice. Decisions you make based on the service are your own.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dopplersky, Stony Softworks, and its operators and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of the rights of others.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the service at any time.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms stay in full force.
